Spybot Search & Destroy Installation Tutorial
Do Not Forget to Backup any data before beginning!!
Steps 1-16 can be completed in standard Windows Mode and Steps 17-19 should be completed in
SafeMode
I recommend completing all of the steps in
SafeMode (with networking)
Step 1. Download Spybot by clicking
here
Start the download and click "run" when prompted.
Step 2.
If you are running Windows XP SP2 you'll get something like this, click Run again.
Step 3.
Click OK.
Step 4.
Click Next.
Step 5.
Accept the agreement and click Next.
Step 6.
Click Next.
Step 7.
Check Download Updates Immediately, and uncheck the others if you'd like, then click Next.
Step 8.
Click Next.
Step 9.
Click Next.
Step 10.
Click Install.
Step 11.
Click Install.
Step 12.
Click Close.
Step 13.
Click Next.
Step 14.
Click Next.
Step 15.
Click Next.
Step 16.
Click Start using the program.
Step 17.
If you just got into Safemode, then you'll want to run spybot, Start -> All Programs (programs) ->
Spybot Search & Destroy -> Spybot Search & Destroy
Click Check for problems. This process will take about 5-10 Minutes to complete.
Step 18.
Click Fix selected problems.
Step 19.
Click Yes, to fix the problems.
Close Spybot and continue to Step 5,
