Microsoft AntiSpyware Installation Tutorial

Do Not Forget to Backup any data before beginning!!
Steps 1-14 can be completed in standard Windows Mode and Steps 15-18 should be completed in SafeMode
We recommend completing all of the steps in SafeMode (with networking)

Step 1. Download Microsoft AntiSpyware by clicking here (direct link - validatation not required with this link)

Start the download and click "run" when prompted.

Step 2.


If you are running Windows XP SP2 you'll get something like this, click Run again.

Step 3.


Click Next.

Step 4.


Accept the agreement and Click Next.

Step 5.

Click Next.

Step 6.

Click Install.

Step 7.

Check Launch Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Finish.

Step 8.

Click Next.

Step 9.

Click Next.

Step 10.

Check Yes, for automatic updates. Click Next.

Step 11.

Click No (personal preference), click Finish.

Step 12.

Uncheck Run spyware scan at 2 a.m. (personal preference), Click Run Quick Scan Now

Step 13.

Click Update Now.

Step 14.

Click Close.

Step 15.

Wait while the system scans, can take 5-15 minutes to complete.

Step 16.

Click View Results.

Step 17.

Click Continue.

Step 18.

Click Yes.
